In order to enhance the fire safety awareness of the grade 2024 freshmen and improve their emergency response ability to deal with emergencies, our school organized a unique fire escape, initial fire rescue and emergency response drill on October 17。Mei Guoying, member of the Party Committee and vice president, attended the event, and the heads of relevant units such as the Safety and Environment Department of the Science and Education City, Wujin Fire Brigade, and the Science and Education City Police Station attached great importance to and participated in the whole process。
Careful preparation to ensure the smooth progress of the drill
Before the drill, the school developed a detailed drill plan, and set up a special leading group, and clarified the division of responsibilities of each department。At the same time, professional fire personnel were invited to train the teachers and staff involved in the drill, so that they were familiar with the drill process and emergency handling methods。In addition, the school also organized special training for all freshmen the day before the drill to popularize fire safety knowledge and emergency escape skills to freshmen, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the drill。

At 1:30 p.m., with the siren sounding, the fire escape drill officially began。Under the organization of the teacher, the freshmen of grade 24 quickly covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent down, and evacuated to safety in an orderly manner according to the predetermined evacuation route。The whole process was tense and orderly, and all the freshmen were safely evacuated in just three minutes。In the process of evacuation, the secretary (deputy secretary) and the director of the student affairs Office of each secondary college are actively involved in maintaining the safety of evacuation;School security personnel were specially responsible for setting off smoke bombs to ensure the smooth progress of the drill。
Initial fire rescue drill, practical operation practice
In the initial fire rescue drill session, the security staff first introduced the use of fire extinguishers and precautions to the freshmen, and conducted on-site demonstrations。Later, the freshmen came forward to experience the use of fire extinguishers。Under the guidance of the teachers of the school security Department, the freshmen quickly mastered the skills of using fire extinguishers and successfully put out the initial fire。Through the actual operation, the freshmen not only improved the ability to fight the initial fire, but also enhanced the awareness of fire safety。
Emergency response drills, calmly respond
In order to improve the freshmen's emergency response ability to deal with emergencies, the school also organized emergency response drills。During the exercise, the teachers and students of the whole school were working and studying in an orderly manner. Two social personnel disobeyed the guard and forced their way into the campus by storming the gate post. In order to ensure campus safety and avoid accidents, the security personnel immediately handled the situation according to emergency procedures。The correct emergency measures were taken promptly。Through the exercise, our school demonstrated strong emergency handling and rapid response ability when emergencies occurred, and improved the safety and happiness index of the school。
